For more than 38 years, we’ve been your neighbors. Owner Joe Stevens started selling produce out of the back of his pickup truck in 1971, with the help of his wife Linda. Now sons Clay and Jason help manage the growing business. Because we’re family owned, with two generations serving you, we concentrate on what makes you happy, season after season, year after year. You want fresh ideas and the highest quality.

At Market Basket in Edwardsville, we recently started a recycling program with our friends and community neighbors Missouri Botanical Gardens and the Gardens at SIUE. Linda Stevens, co-owner of Market Basket, is president of the Friends of the Gardens at SIUE, which is a 35-acre public botanical garden on the university’s campus. We’ve already recycled 6,000 pounds of used nursery containers. In addition, we’ve just received a new sorting trailer for different types of containers that would have been discarded in the regular trash. We plan to expand the recycling program to our other three locations.
